Are we really flipping the calendar over to the last page of the year? I can’t believe, just like every year, how fast it truly goes. I hope that each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with family and friends and ready or not, the Holidays are upon us. If Day on the Hill isn’t part of your “To Do” list, I hope that it will be soon! Join us on January 23-24, 2018 for our Icebreaker, PAC Reception and Day On The Hill! Tuesday afternoon kicks off our Icebreaker event where we will be hearing from Top of the Table speakers such as: Mark Miehe, Dennis Zahrbock and the father/son duo Brent and Jacob Welch. That evening will be our annual PAC Reception. This promises to be a good time with lots of items up for auction, a chance to mingle and network with other NAIFA members and a chance to hear from guest legislators in attendance that evening. Wednesday is a day full of legislative activities; this year we will spend the day thanking our legislators for all that they have supported NAIFA on thus far, most importantly, the passing of the Financial Literacy Bill. We will also be taking the opportunity to discuss individual issues that pertain to our industry.

I know we may not be thinking April yet, but please keep your calendar open for April 26-27 at the Ho-Chunk Casino in Baraboo. We have a full lineup of speakers and breakout sessions. You’ll hear from speakers such as Ellen Rogin, Kelly Clements, Matt Jones and Wisconsin’s own football player turned Financial Advisor, Brandon Williams. Please bring the spouse and family to make a weekend out of it, we will have something for everyone! Also, Four Under 40 award nominations are being accepted now through the end of December, so if you have someone in mind that is deserving of this award, please send in your applications to the state office.

As we depart this month, I again want to thank everyone who has been a part of Moving Wisconsin Forward. I know that I say this every month, but I’m forever grateful for each of you who have stepped up into leadership roles, or been an advocate of what the state is doing to grow our organization as we are the first of many states transitioning to this landscape.  We are the only agents organization who are working together on behalf of our clients each and every day, and to think of being in an industry without NAIFA, that future concerns me. Thank you for continuing to be a part of NAIFA.

Thank you, Merry Christmas and see you soon!
