RACINE, WI—The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors-Racine-Kenosha (NAIFA-Racine-Kenosha), announces that June 1 has been declared Ken Specht Day.

On Thursday, June 1, NAIFA-Racine-Kenosha took the time to say thank you to current and past members who have been involved during the life of their local at their “Member and Leadership Recognition Day.” Special recognition was given to Local President, Kenneth P. Specht, LUTCF, FSS, as June 1 was declared “Ken Specht Day” within the local.

Ken, a NAIFA member since 1990, took it upon himself several years ago to help a struggling local survive. After developing a survey for members, Ken discovered that members wanted more continuing education credits and regular meetings with sales ideas. Since his discovery, Ken enlisted the help of several volunteers to help him on his mission to revamp the local.

Throughout his years as a NAIFA member, Ken’s leadership and involvement got him invited by Congressman Paul Ryan to testify in front of a congressional committee regarding the DOL rule.

Outside of NAIFA, Ken has shown leadership in his church, and has been involved as a Boy Scouts leader for many years.

During Racine-Kenosha’s meeting, Ken was also awarded with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition for his exemplary leadership as president from Congressman and Speaker of the House Paul Ryan. We thank Ken for his service, strong leadership and hard work for the Racine-Kenosha local!
