Advisors Political Involvement Committee (APIC)

You may have never run for public office. You might not know much about politics. But with NAIFA’s Advisors Political Involvement Committee (APIC), you can still make a difference. Influence how Congress votes on legislation important to insurance and financial services professionals. You can get involved in a number of ways. The level of involvement is up to you. Each year, NAIFA lobbying staff works with members to maximize NAIFA’s impact with lawmakers. Members participating in APIC training events in Washington, D.C. are prepped with the background they need before going to Capitol Hill to meet with their federal representatives.

Day on the Hill events, such as NAIFA’s Congressional Conference, are one way members deliver the message that 75 million American families rely on the life insurance industry to protect their financial futures. During the Congressional Conference, more than 1,000 NAIFA members held meetings with over 90% of Congressional offices. Only NAIFA has the reach to make the industry’s voice heard.

Insurance and Financial Advisors Political Action Committee (IFAPAC)

NAIFA’s Political Action Committee is one of the largest PACs in the insurance industry and ranks among the top percent of the 4,600 PACs registered with the Federal Election Commission. During the 2012 election cycle, IFAPAC disbursed $1.6 million to more than 300 U.S. House and U.S. Senate candidates and other political committees.
